After a long flight across Canada we were warmly met and welcomed to the Rendell-Shea Manor. Our experience from beginning to end was truly enjoyable; with all the comforts of home. Clean and nostalgic accommodations blended the modern NL with its historic past. We engaged in wonderful conversations with fellow travelers from other parts of Canada/US and shared experiences. The location of the manor was perfect for exploring all of St. John's which we did by foot, local transportation and tours which picked us up at the front door. We would definitely recommend the Rendell-Shea as a highlight of a trip to NL.

We spent a delightful fews days at the Rendell-Shea Manor and could not have made a better choice.
Earl, the owner, and his team are not only extremely professional but also so very, very nice. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived ( actually even before -- in all our email and telephone correspondence).
This is a beautiful historical building perfectly located and close to a lot of the places we wanted to visit. We were able to walk to many -- including some restaurants we wanted to try. It is also walking distance to the "famous" George Street.
We had a gorgeous room upstairs -- the Margaret Rendell Room and there was even a little living room outside our room for us to use. As well, we had access to the gorgeous Victorian living room in the main foyer as well as a beautiful sunroom with constant fresh coffee and tea as well as home made muffins and treats and a fridge where we were able to keep some wine. There was no problem in having help to have our luggage taken upstairs -- thank you Earl!
Earl had also made excellent recommendations for restaurants and sights.
this was really one of our best B&B experiences ever.
We often judge a place we stay at or visit by whether or not we would stay there again and this one is a no-brainer -- a definite YES.

Spent 3 wonderful nights at Rendell Shea Manor. One of the finest stays we have had across North America. St Johns Heritage building with period furnishings, comfy beds, quality bed linens and towels. Each room has a TV and complimentary wifi is excellent.
This home has beautiful common space: large living room with big screenTV, sun room with outdoor deck , 2nd floor reading corner, bright cheery dining room. The staff Helen and Earl are attentive to your every needs.
The sun room provides a fridge for your favorite treats and libations. Complimentary coffee/tea/infused water and baked goods available all day. Great room to enjoy your wine after a long day of siteseeing.
Rendell Shea Manor is easy walking distance to most sites in St Johns downtown area and a short drive to many others. There is an abundance of great dining and lively pubs within the downtown, all in walking distance.Street parking is convenient and reliable. Would definitely return here upon a future visit.
